Troubleshooting

It refused. Here is why.

Most failures are the wrong zip, a key that cannot see the site, or draft-only doing its job. Work the list. Then open a ticket.

Connect this site failed

Return URL must match the site URL the plugin sent. Open Connect from wp-admin again — do not hand-edit the link.
Sign in with the inbox that owns the plan. Then we send you back with a pair token (20 minutes).
No plan yet: you will be sent to pricing (editor) or /forms (form zip) first.
Site cap: Pro is 5 origins. Remove one under Sites or upgrade.
HTTPS only. Local http:// will not pair.

Manual path: copy wpa_site_… from Sites (shown once) and paste in WP Adapter → Connect.

Claude has no tools / wrong tools

Installed the Forms zip and asked it to rewrite a page → Forms keys cannot edit posts. Install WP Adapter.
Installed the editor zip and asked for a contact form → editor-only keys cannot create-form. Get Forms.
Plan inactive or expired → renew at Account.
Desktop connector not turned on in the chat.
ChatGPT: Developer mode off, or WP Adapter not ticked under + → Developer mode for this chat. ChatGPT chapter.
Bearer key missing the word Bearer, or you pasted a wpa_site_ key into Cursor.

Multiple sites. Call list-sites

The org key sees more than one WordPress. Ask Claude to list-sites and pass site_id. Name the domain in the prompt so it picks the right row.

Publish is off / cannot edit a published post

Allow publish is on by default (Pro). Lite stays draft-only. If Policy turned it off, tick Allow publish and untick Draft-only. Pass slug on create-post, update-post, or set-status — WordPress otherwise builds the URL from the title and can strip æ/ø/å. If the slug is taken, draft the old page first or WordPress adds -2.

The public URL 404s

It is a draft. That is the product. Ask for preview-post — a signed visitor URL, 24 hours. inspect-front with a draft id issues that preview and fetches it. Do not turn on publish just to look.

The form is not on the page

Status is still draft. set-form-status live.
WordPress has not pulled: WP Adapter Forms → Sync forms now.
Shortcode id does not match frm_….
The site is not paired, so the cache is empty.

Payment form does nothing

Paste pk_ and sk_ under Account → Forms. They must be a pair (both live or both test). Amount must be > 0. After submit the visitor should redirect to Stripe Checkout, then /forms/paid.

Notify email is not valid

Use the account inbox, an invited org member, or an address on the WordPress site’s own domain. Gmail-on-a-client-site will be refused unless that Gmail owns the org.

Rate limit: 60 MCP calls per minute

Wait a minute. Do not loop update-post in a script against production.

Form visitors: 10 submits / minute / IP → “Slow down.”

Divi modules lose to white cards / 15px radius

Module attrs lost to global CSS (often .et_pb_column with !important). search-css needle border-radius: 15px or et_pb_column. Then get-site-css. update-site-css and purge-cache are on by default. If Policy turned them off, turn them back on.

Divi preview is blank / 790px column / no et-core-unified

The theme is Divi, but WPPaza’s must-use renderer takes over on template_redirect (priority 99999), echoes a full HTML document, and exits. template_include never runs. A coworkplus extension also wraps every page/post in .wppaza-prose and strips non-WPForms <style> — that is why et-core-unified is missing. WP Adapter 0.4.5 unhooks that redirect on Divi-builder posts so the theme (and Divi CSS) load. Other WPPaza pages stay. Upload a fresh zip. Hard-reload the preview.

The draft looks unstyled / Divi Builder is off

Claude designed HTML and dumped it as Gutenberg/classic content. Visual Builder never turned on, and <style> was stripped (the agent does not get unfiltered HTML). Preview shows the theme wrapping bare copy. The public slug 404s because it is a draft — that is draft-only doing its job.

Fix: send native [et_pb_section] shortcodes in content_divi or content_html. They are the canvas. A previous wrap/escape is unwrapped on retry. You publish in wp-admin.

allow_options is blogname / blogdescription. It is not CSS.

Unknown canvas / it would not flatten

Cornerstone, Themify, and builders we do not patch are detected as unknown. We refuse a wrecking-ball replace. Use Gutenberg/Elementor/Divi/Bricks/Beaver/WPBakery/Breakdance/Oxygen, or edit that page yourself.

Theme PHP is never in scope. Ask for a template (header/footer) only with Allow site chrome on.

WooCommerce tool said it is not active

Install and activate WooCommerce on that WordPress. get-site reports woocommerce.active. Products start as drafts. Order status needs Policy → Allow order status. refunded is a status, not a Stripe refund.

install-plugin / update-core refused

Both are off until Policy. Plugin install is a wordpress.org slug — not a zip, not a URL. If the plugin is already there, use update-plugin. If WordPress wants FTP credentials, update from wp-admin. These writes do not snapshot.

White screen on activate

Current editor zip is 0.5.5. 0.3.1–0.3.2 already fixed fatals next to Jetpack, WooCommerce, and Divi’s memory cap. Download a fresh zip from Account if you are on an older build. Fatals during activate/boot are posted to us.
