WP Adapter is the WordPress dock for WP Adapter Cloud. Claude connects at wpadapter.com/mcp. Publish is on by default; turn it off in Policy.

== Description ==

WP Adapter is a product layer on WordPress 6.9. It is **not** the official WordPress MCP Adapter.

The plugin is a thin HMAC actuator. MCP lives at https://wpadapter.com/mcp. Pair a site key from your account. Layout-preserving edits for Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Gutenberg, and more.

Post content may transit WP Adapter Cloud in order to patch layouts. We do not sell that content.

== Installation ==

1. Install on WordPress 6.9+ with HTTPS.
2. Activate WP Adapter.
3. Add this site at https://wpadapter.com/account and paste the site key under WP Adapter → Connect.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Is this the official MCP Adapter? =

No. MCP Adapter is the official transport from the WordPress project. WP Adapter is a product on top: curated tools, origin Policy, audit log, and rollback.

== Changelog ==

= 0.5.5 =
* Sites connected to WP Adapter Cloud no longer re-check the License box, so the plan from your account stays put (no more "invalid · tier lite" and greyed-out Policy). Site keys (wpa_site_…) are refused in the License box and cleared if one was saved there. Licence checks now send the key in the request body, not the URL.

= 0.5.4 =
* Slug on create/update/set-status actually sticks. Aliases post_name. Publish no longer rebuilds from title.

= 0.5.3 =
* Allow publish on by default. Optional slug on create/update (æ/ø/å transliterated). Existing origins get the flag on upgrade.

= 0.5.2 =
* Allow site CSS and cache purge on by default. Existing origins get the flags on upgrade.

= 0.5.1 =
* Draft visitor preview (preview-post). get-site.playbooks. inspect-front on drafts. Divi globals + HFCM in get-site-css.

= 0.5.0 =
* search-css, get-site-css, update-site-css, inspect-front, search-files, purge-cache. Find global !important without guessing. No PHP writes.

= 0.4.5 =
* WPPaza renders on template_redirect+exit, not template_include. Divi-builder posts unhook that redirect so Divi CSS actually loads.

= 0.4.4 =
* Divi-builder posts use the theme template even when a must-use renderer (WPPaza) owns template_include. Setup and get-site report the hijacker.

= 0.4.3 =
* Setup wizard: pick Divi, Elementor, Gutenberg, or another canvas, and whether Claude rewrites copy or builds new pages.

= 0.4.2 =
* Divi native shortcodes ([et_pb_section]…) write as the canvas. Not wrapped in a text module. Drafts do not need Allow replace.

= 0.4.1 =
* Divi landings: create-post content_html + custom_css turns Visual Builder on. Default editor follows the theme. Allow replace is actually enforced.

= 0.4.0 =
* WooCommerce: list/get/create/update products, stock, order list/get/status/notes. Draft products by default.
* list-updates, update-plugin, install-plugin (wordpress.org slug only), update-core. Off until Policy says so. No zip, no snapshot.

= 0.3.3 =
* Connect this site: one button to wpadapter.com, then back. Claude copy-paste lives in the account.

= 0.3.2 =
* Activate no longer loads the full Composer classmap (WooCommerce + Divi were hitting the 256M cap).
* Fatals during activate/boot are posted to wpadapter.com.

= 0.3.1 =
* Activation no longer white-screens on sites that already run Jetpack or WooCommerce.

= 0.3.0 =
* Cloud dock: pair wpa_site_ keys. Claude connects at wpadapter.com/mcp.
* No public origin MCP in the cloud path.

= 0.2.0 =
* Markdown updates patch copy in place (columns, motion, globals kept). mode=replace flattens (Pro).
* Divi 5, Breakdance, Oxygen. Beaver and WPBakery node-level copy edits.
* Theme Builder / headers / footers via list-templates (Pro).

= 0.1.1 =
* Write Gutenberg, Classic, Elementor, Divi 4, Bricks, Beaver Builder, and WPBakery canvases from the same MCP tools.

= 0.1.0 =
* First release.
